Annual General Meeting - Wednesday 7 July 2021
The RSC’s Annual General Meeting was held on Wednesday 7 July 2021, chaired by the President, Professor Tom Welton OBE CChem FRSC. Due to the continued COVID-19 safety measures members attended and participated the meeting by online means only.
The AGM provides an opportunity for communications with the membership. Members received a review of our achievements for the chemical sciences in the past year and a summary of the Society’s financial position. The results of elections to Boards, Committee and Divisions were announced and members welcomed the new Honorary Treasurer Claire Gallery-Strong CSci CChem FRSC.
Preceding the AGM Professor Saiful Islam CChem FRSC, Professor Materials Chemistry, University of Bath and Trustee gave a seminar titled Making a Materials Difference to Green Energy (Batteries Included).
